Prewitt wants to prove his speed and more to NFL scouts, execs

Cody Prewitt has one main goal for Senior Bowl week, and that’s to show that he’s more than a free safety.

Prewitt also wants to answer questions about his speed.

He told me last night he considers his speed an asset but that he wants to show he can make plays form side to side.

There’s been some talk about Prewitt, who was listed at 6-2, 212 at the Tuesday weigh-in, as a linebacker in the NFL.

He has not shunned that idea but also has not immediately embraced it.

“I’ve challenged myself to prove to everyone that I can be a safety at the next level,” he said.
