DE Rasool Clemons pledges to Rebels

By John Davis, Oxford Citizen

Ole Miss needed at least one more defensive linemen for its 2015 signing class. Defensive end Rasool Clemons, one of the top players in South Carolina, gave coach Hugh Freeze that position pledge Sunday morning.

Clemons was one of 18 players who took part in a large visit weekend in Oxford. The 6-foot-6, 215-pound Clemons had been a verbal pledge to the University of Virginia up until last week.

He was rated  as the No. 6 overall prospect in the state of South Carolina before the season started. He made over 115 tackles and had over 20 tackles for a loss.

Ole Miss has been late to recruit Clemons, who was more attracted to LSU during the season. His visit went well, and with the help of defensive tackle DJ Jones, who is also from South Carolina, Clemons felt like home in Oxford.

Here is a link to some of Clemons’ videos, provided by Hudl, from his senior season.
