There was a ton of positive energy gained by Ole Miss following the biggest recruiting weekend of the season.
Hugh Freeze and his staff picked up two more commitments for the 2015 signing class in four-star wide receiver Van Jefferson and three-star defensive end Rasool Clemons.
North Panola’s Willie Hibbler was another one of the 18 visitors that took part in the weekend. He was hosted by offensive guard Aaron Morris, but added that all the recruits got together at the end of the night to hang out.
Hibbler’s visit was delayed at the start since he had to take the SAT. Still, Hibbler had a good time.
“It was nice to hang around other top recruits. We’re all trying to make each other go to one school,” Hibbler said. “I firm with Ole Miss. I’m just trying to get some of the other guys to be the same way.”
One of the guys Hibbler would love to see become a Rebel is CeCe Jefferson, the nation’s top-rated strong side defensive end out of Baker County, Fla. Jefferson’s father said on Twitter that he and his son had a great exit meeting with Freeze.
“I feel real good about CeCe. I think a lot more are going to follow behind him. If they commit, he’s going to come right behind them,” Hibbler said.
Hibbler will play tight end more than likely at Ole Miss, but he did say that he has to learn the routes run by wide receivers.
“I’m going to be used in the slot and on the outside so I have to learn some tight end routes and mostly receiver routes,” he said.
