Orvis Sike(d) up about new baseballs

Ole Miss first baseman Sikes Orvis was one of the top home run hitters in the SEC last year, finishing second in the league statistics with 14 of them. He was fifth with 53 RBIs. He’s hopeful he’ll improve in both categories with this year’s changed baseballs. Senior pitcher Sam Smith is less excited but accepting of the change. He understands winning means scoring runs too, not just holding down the other team.

From the Mother Ship, Orvis and the baseballs.
