Friday Morning Update

Spanning the globe on a Friday morning …

Inspiration can come in a variety of ways. Here’s a good read from the Monroe News-Star on how Louisiana Tech coach Michael White reacted to an intimate encounter with former Tech star Karl Malone. I don’t have a lot of warm and fuzzy stories about Karl Malone since he attended the rival school back in the day. I have visions of him running up and down the floor against Northeast Louisiana. It was fun to watch Malone and McNeese State’s Joe Dumars in the Southland Conference tournament in Monroe in 1985.

White, the former Ole Miss player and assistant coach, has Tech at 19-6 overall, 10-2 and tied in the loss column with Western Kentucky for the lead in Conference USA. …
