Golson gets high praise from NFL as combine begins

The NFL Combine begins today in Indianapolis with the arrivals of kickers and punters, offensive linemen and tight ends.

Ole Miss has defensive backs Senquez Golson and Cody Prewitt in the combine. They do not arrive until Friday with their on-field workouts scheduled for Monday.

The NFL’s official website has a flattering analysis of Golson as it describes him as having “Pro Bowl potential.” Golson is projected a third- to fourth-round pick by NFLDraftScout.com which also rates him No. 13 out of 232 available cornerbacks.

The NFL would like to see more physicality and pass coverage from Prewitt. Prewitt is a projected second-round pick by NFLDraftScout.com and is rated No. 1 out of 124 available free safeties.

Here is the combine invite list.

More physicality out or Cody? Did they watch the first half or the season? The only reason he “let up” a little was because he’d hurt himself laying so much wood.

I thought that was an interesting critique.
