Spanning the globe on a Monday morning …

Ole Miss’ win over Tennessee Saturday night has the Rebels tied with Texas A&M in third place in the SEC race. The Rebels are very much in contention for the coveted double-bye in the league tournament. It’s a big week with Georgia visiting Wednesday and a road trip to LSU to follow. Georgia and LSU are two games back of A&M and Ole Miss. Here¬†is the SEC tournament schedule. Teams will be filled in later.

Barrett Sallee, who covers SEC football for Bleacher Report, says getting Cal on the Ole Miss schedule is huge for recruiting.

The NCAA announced Friday that Florida committed a level II infraction when a former assistant coach met improperly with a recruit. Florida took swift corrective measures, and no further penalties are coming from the NCAA.

    I noticed that the standings have the Aggies listed above the Rebels right now. But,by virtue of the win over A&M, wouldn’t Ole Miss have the #3 sec tourney seed if the season ended now?
