Ole Miss 2, Arkansas State 1

The Rebels got only five hits but gave up only three.

Evan Anderson pitched five innings for the win. Jacob Waguespack followed for thee innings and Will Stokes for one. The trio combined for seven hits and only two walks, both by Anderson.

Both teams scored once in the first, and Ole Miss pushed across a run in the fourth.

Though there were only five hits, Ole Miss had two multiple-hitters with Sikes Orvis and Austin Knight each wtih two. Orvis had a home run in the first inning.

Arkansas State won a series against Louisville on a neutral field last weekend.

Wednesday’s game against Central Arkansas has already been postponed.
