Rebels eager to leave Tad Smith

At least that was the vibe coming from M.J. Rhett after the Rebels lost 86-77 to Vanderbilt Saturday night in a game that really didn’t feel that close.

Ole Miss at 11-7 in the SEC is in the NCAA tournament conversation, not as strong as it was 10-4 but in the conversation nonetheless.

The Rebels’ resume has a lot more to do with what they’ve gotten done on the road and at neutral sites than what they’ve gotten done at home.

The best home win for Ole Miss is Texas A&M, while Tad Smith stumbles include Charleston Southern, Western Kentucky, TCU, and Northern Arizona and Coastal Carolina weren’t that far off.

For those reasons Rhett is ready to get away.
