Spanning the globe on a Wednesday morning …

On the road to Nashville this morning. The SEC’s version of the Dayton experience is tonight with four teams participating in two play-in games to reach the traditional SEC tournament field.

MSU and Auburn play at 6 with South Carolina and Missouri to follow.

No. 6 seed Ole Miss faces the South Carolina and Missouri winner Thursday night.

The NCAA tournament chatter I’ve seen seems to have Ole Miss as part of the Dayton Experience right now. I think it holds that way if the Rebels win Thursday and lose to Georgia. A loss to Georgia won’t hurt their numbers, but a loss to South Carolina or Missouri will, and that would likely end the Rebels’ NCAA chatter.

There’s an open practice at Bridgestone Arena today, a presser too, and I’ll have updates on the blog in the afternoon. …
