Rebels clinging to bracket projections

On the eve of Selection Sunday Ole Miss continues to cling to NCAA tournament hopes with the major “bracketologists.” ESPN’s Joe Lunardi and CBS’ Jerry Palm both have the Rebels listed among their last four in.

Until they hire a better coach, Ole Miss will continue being irrelevant.

Ole Miss finished tied for third in the SEC this year. This is better by three spots that they were picked preseason (I think). They were not considered a NCAA tournament team preseason. Yet, here they are again being considered as a tournament team. They will be a 10-13 seed if they do make the field. Coaching is not the problem. It is hard in this one and done dream that so many high school players have. They do not want to be part of building a team, they want to play were they know they can play for a championship and get to the NBA faster. Also the SEC only one basketball first team. That is why they have won 27 SEC championships. They are the only really relevant team in the SEC.

Hopeful, Ole Miss will make one of the at large teams spots, I am not into basketball but do believe Rebels deserve a playing chance in that play off competition. In my opinion Andy Kennedy has done a very good job at Ole Miss. Maybe the baseball team out of the “deep freeze” and ready to play baseball,. go rebels!
