Video Blog: Snoop White, Newby ready for NCAA Tournament

By John Davis, Oxford Citizen

DAYTON, Ohio. — Ole Miss players LaDarius “Snoop” White and Martavious Newby were upbeat about still playing basketball, and in being in the NCAA Tournament. Obvious feeling now that the brackets have been announced. It wasn’t that way Sunday night, not until things were finalized.

White felt immediately after the loss to South Carolina that the Rebels hadn’t done enough to make the “Big Dance.” That feeling changed once he started looking at the other teams, and with ESPN saying the Rebels were still in.

Both he and Newby felt this was a great second chance to prove to the rest of the nation that Rebels, one of five teams in from the SEC, are deserving.
