UAB at Ole Miss

A rare non-conference doubleheader begins at 11 a.m. at Swayze Field. UAB is in town.

These non-conference games are growing in importance because one of the requirements for the NCAA tournament is a winning record.

Ole Miss is 13-10 right now. Non-conference wins aren’t always a given, and Ole Miss has difficult mid-week games remaining against Memphis, Southern Miss, Mississippi State and Arkansas State.

The Rebels need two today.

Right-hander Sam Smith (1-3, 7.30) will pitch the first game. UAB will go with left-hander Dylan Munger (0-0, 0.00).

Ole Miss will throw left-hander Evan Anderson (1-2, 6.29) in the second game. UAB is TBA.
