Insell: NIT run huge for young Ole Miss players

The Ole Miss women’s basketball team is getting ready to board the bus for Murfreesboro, home town of coach Matt Insell.

Insell will coach against his dad for the second this season when Ole Miss and Middle Tennessee meet tomorrow night in an NIT third-round game. Tonight Insell plans to visit friends. Tomorrow, he says, he won’t answer his phone unless it’s Ross Bjork, and then it’s a maybe.

Hometown pleasantries aside, the Rebels have bounced back from a seven-game losing streak to win some games at the end of the year and make a nice postseason run.

Insell talks about the value of still playing games right now for his young players, and there are a lot of them:
