Confidence in the corners

Any time you insert two new players into your program and tell them they have to achieve at a high level — let alone start — there’s a risk involved.

Tee Shepard isn’t brand new but hasn’t been a major part of a major program. Tony Bridges is brand new.

Both players have size and ability, and that’s why defensive coordinator Dave Wommack and head coach Hugh Freeze believe the potential rewards for having them start at cornerback far outweigh the risk.

From the Mother Ship, Ole Miss has confidence in its new corners.
