Missouri 4, Ole Miss 2

The Rebels got the tying runs at third and second with no outs in the top of the ninth but couldn’t score them. Ole Miss had two runs on seven hits. Colby Bortles was 2-for-4 including a double in the ninth. Christian Trent was the only pitcher used. He went eight innings and scattered nine hits with no walks and six strikeouts. It was a scoreless game until the fifth when both teams scored twice. Missouri pushed across single runs in the sixth and seventh. Game 2 is tomorrow at 2.
