Video Blog: Rebels looking to finish 2015 on good note

By John Davis, Oxford Citizen

Is there another hitter any hotter at the plate than Ole Miss’ Sikes Orvis? Over the last five games, all Ole Miss wins, Orvis is hitting .600 with seven home runs and 16 RBIs.

Orvis, who drove in a career-high eight RBIs in an 17-3 win over Arkansas State on Tuesday night, is set to play his final three games at Oxford-University Stadium. The Rebels (28-24 overall, 14-13 in the SEC) are set to host No. 7 Texas A&M (42-9, 17-9) in a three-game series starting Thursday night.

The Rebels have already earned a spot in next week’s SEC Tournament, and looking to do more from a postseason standpoint. Another win, or two, against the Aggies will only help the Rebels’ resume from an at-large standpoint. The Rebels are currently ranked No. 33 in the overall RPI, and projected to play at Florida State by the editor’s at D-1
