SEC’s season of change

There’s big change in the SEC at two key positions this season, one on the field and one on coaching staffs.

More than half the teams in the conference have quarterback battles going on. More importantly, there are eight new defensive coordinators in the league.

Half of that equation applies to Ole Miss, and fortunately for the Rebels, they’re trying to break in a new quarterback, not a new defensive coordinator.

From The Mother Ship, defensive stability for Ole Miss.

Non-football here (sorry about that) but an interesting tweet this morning from Tomasz Gielo, the Rebels’ new post-grad basketball transfer who apparently is making his way back to Mississippi after some time at home:

Denham Springs, La., native, Mississippian since 1989 with a stop in Meridian before arriving in Tupelo. Daily Journal beat writer since 1996, covering Ole Miss since 2002. Proud Northeast Louisiana alum. Follow me on Twitter @parrishalford and listen to John Davis and myself daily with The Ole Miss Beat on Rebel Sports Radio.
