Thursday Practice Notes

No real news or observations from stretch and individual workout periods.

Not all players were out there during the viewing periods.

A little video here of quarterbacks Ryan Buchanan and DeVante Kincade:

During his recruiting freshman wide receiver Van Jefferson was described as a solid route-runner, a technician. That’s not surprising as the son of a guy who was a 13-year wide receiver in the NFL and later coached the position.

Jefferson is listed at 6-2, 181. I was struck at how thin his arms looked compared to Trey Bledsoe, a sophomore wide receiver who is entering his third season in the program.

The strength and conditioning program at the SEC level really does make a difference.

I saw former offensive tackle Emmanuel McCray hanging out with the linemen. I didn’t speak to him, but it looks like he could be a GA this season.

The next scheduled media viewing periods are Monday morning.
