Spanning the globe on a Monday morning …

The Rebels are back at it today, this time with pads. We’ll see a little bit with a handful of viewing periods scheduled.

Running back Mark Dodson is now on his second school since leaving Ole Miss earlier this year. He appears to be excited about a fresh start at Murray State, having left Memphis for Murray, and is trying to remain positive. …

The Tampa Bay Tribune says it’s a “very hot” seat for South Florida coach Willie Taggart who is entering his third season with a 6-18 record with the Bulls. Taking the defensive coordinator position there, while a step up, is a big gamble for Tom Allen, the long-time Freeze assistant. …

From Athlon, a look at some forgotten five-stars. We say all the time that recruiting is an inexact science. That’s true. But I also say that when people put millions into evaluating and ranking high school players that those highly rated players are going to have strong careers more often than not. The five-stars in Ole Miss’ 2013 class have made the anticipated impact and hopefully for the Rebels will do big things again this year. …
