Spanning the globe on a Tuesday morning …

There are a few viewable periods then interviews after Ole Miss practice this morning. We’ll see how the quarterback questions are answered after Saturday’s scrimmage.

The NLRB rules that college athletes can’t unionize, but the recent push for “cost of attendance” means more money in their scholarship checks and addresses many of the problems they were talking about. …

Can’t get this in Mayberry:

Cut will give his Duke players a break from camp this week and will take them on a field trip to DC. Good read here. …

The Iron Bowl is still a bitter pill to swallow for Gus Malzahn. The Auburn coach says his team should have put 60 on Alabama last year. As it played out that would have been enough to win since the Tide scored only 55. Auburn going for 60 would have just amped up Alabama, however, and no doubt the Tide could have scored more on that Auburn defense. …

Speaking of the Tide, it’s hard to win a QB race from the sideline, but that’s where senior Jacob Coker will be for a few days after suffering a foot injury. …

Georgia tailback Nick Chubb, as Georgia tailbacks often do, is getting some Heisman mention. Here’s one piece that wonders if Chubb might fall victim to a sophomore slump.

Speaking of running backs, Arkansas lost a good one when Jonathan Williams sustained a foot injury in Saturday’s scrimmage. He’s out for the year. …

The world was spinning just fine for Tennessee’s Brett Kendrick at tackle. Now he’s been moved to guard and is finding his way again. …

Former Amory QB Will Hall has West Georgia ranked No. 4 in Division II …
