The Freedom from Religion Foundation is going after Georgia coach Mark Richt for using his position to raise money for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the group is asking Georgia president Jere Morehead to abolish the position of team chaplain. …

I guess Idaho isĀ another school that will soon rethink its policy of open football practices. There’s a stereotype of coaches as control freaks. It doesn’t apply to all coaches, of course. It does apply to some, and it would seem to apply to Idaho’s Paul Petrino if the facts of this incident are presented accurately. This story will probably pick up legs and run a while.

Ole Miss almost reaches the upper half of the SEC in ESPN’s list of top offensive lines in the conference. …
