5 Quick Take-Aways

  1. had Kelly played well enough to be named the starter. We’ll see if that holds true. Hugh Freeze made no definitive statement in the postgame.

2. The defense didn’t dominate but played a lot of people, a lot of way down the depth chart people. Martin ran a a lot of quick-hitting run plays and that kind of limited the tackles for loss.

3. The run game looked good. You do have to consider the competition, but it was there. I thought Jordan Wilkins had the better day of the bigger backs, but Akeem Judd showed flashes too.

4. DaMarkus Lodge played and caught a touchdown pass so that answers his redshirt question.

5. Don’t know where the Laremy Tunsil thing is headed. Stay Tuned.
