Getting family tickets squared away was big topic for Kiffins earlier this week

Coaches are in a high profile business. There’s a lot of focus and intensity that go along with that. Sometimes it’s interesting to see them with regular guy problems and priorities.

That’s what Ole Miss defensive line coach Chris Kiffin was dealing with earlier this week.

Kiffin talks here about facing his brother – He’s 1-0 in head to head meetings – and about preparing for some of Alabama’s better players including running backs Derrick Henry and Kenyan Drake and tight end O.J. Howard.

When he visited with his brother, Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin, conversation wasn’t about X’s and O’x and putting players in the right place. It was about putting family in the right place.

β€œIt was all about getting the tickets squared away, who was cheering for who in who’s section and making sure none of the other wives were upset. That was it,” Chris Kiffin said.

There’s a lot of text messaging that goes on between the brothers in a typical week. This is an atypical week.
