Rebels share No. 3

Ole Miss crashes the top 10 in the AP Top 25  in a big way after its 43-37 win at No. 2 Alabama.

Sparked by 11 first-place votes the Rebels jumped 12 spots to No. 3, a spot they share with a team they know very well: TCU. The Horned Frogs represent the last bad memory for the Rebels, a 42-3 Peach Bowl loss to finish the 2014 season.

Ole Miss is the highest rated SEC team. Ohio State is No. 1, and Michigan State is No. 2.

Alabama dropped 10 spots to No. 12.

Other SEC teams in the AP poll are No. 7 Georgia, No. 8 LSU, No. 14 Texas A&M and No. 25 Missouri.

The Rebels climbed six spots from No. 11 to No. 5 in the USA Today coaches poll. They received no first-place votes from the coaches.

To all those analyst on TV who expertly picked the Tide to win: thumbs UP…your nose. Especially Randy Cross. Watch him tomorrow night “live” on Inside College Football, 8pm-10pm on the CBSSports Channel (Comcast 393). I want to see the snooty UCLA O-lineman alumni ‘eat his words’. And Tim Tebow is better playing the game instead of pickin’ the winners/losers.
A BIG Hotty Toddy to Coach Freeze and the Rebels. Fins Up!!!

I’m glad I was wrong about Ole Miss having a TD called back. The refs tried to take one away but the replay wouldn’t let them. This was probably the biggest win in Ole Miss history.
PA, was the onside kick tip by bama not clearly against the rules? Should that not have been a penalty?

The onside kick should have been called back
Under the rules the kicking team cannot push or knock the ball forward. If they do (which my lying eyes saw them do) then they are penalized 5 yards and a re-kick.
From what I hear from the talkin’ heads…it was a “judgement call” by the head referee. NO sheet. s/o
Other than that call, I think the refs called a pretty clean game.
