Media Monday Wrap

From the Mother Ship, our take on Media Monday.

Hugh Freeze feels things are running along at high clip right now and doesn’t want to wreck. He challenged his team Monday to make sure it continues looking to the next game and not in the rearview mirror. The No. 3-ranked Rebels take on Vanderbilt Saturday night at 6 at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

Huskie Tony Conner is going to be out for a while after surgery on a torn meniscus today. If he misses only the minimum amount of time — four weeks according to Freeze — then it’s possible he could return for the Texas A&M game in Oxford on Oct. 24.

It sounds like Conner will definitely miss the Vanderbilt, Florida, New Mexico State and Memphis games.

After the Memphis road trip the Rebels close at home with Texas A&M — the home team hasn’t won in the series since A&M joined the league — at Auburn, at home with Arkansas and LSU and at Mississippi State.
