Rebels stay 5 with coaches, stay 3 in AP Top 25

Ole Miss remains No. 3 in this week’s voting in The Associated Press Top 25, and this week the Rebels don’t share the spot.

Last week they were co-No. 3 with TCU. TCU won at Texas Tech on a tipped pass touchdown on fourth-and-goal.

This week the Horned Frogs are No. 4 behind Ohio State, Michigan State and Ole Miss.

The Rebels remain┬áNo. 5 in the USA Today coaches poll. Without seeing ballots I’m guessing their first place vote comes from Fresno State coach Tim DeRuyter.

Back in August many considered the Rebels’ road trip to rebuilding Florida as a lock for a win. Now it’s a Top 25 matchup.

The 4-0 Gators broke into both polls after their improbable comeback win against Tennessee. Florida is No. 25 in The AP Top 25 and No. 23 in the coaches poll.
