Monday Morning Update

Spanning the globe on a Monday morning …

A trap game is when one team is decidedly better than another and may play against the perceived lesser opponent with less awareness. Is that what a Florida trip is for Ole Miss?

This much is certain. It will be a top 25 matchup at the Swamp. The Gators reentered the rankings in both polls after their comeback win over Tennessee:

From the Knoxville News-Sentinel, a less than stellar report card for the Vols’ trip to Florida. …

Leonard Fournette goes double century back to back, first LSU back to do that. Big challenge upcoming for the Rebels. I watched the first half of the Syracuse game. Fournette can be defended. It takes gang tackling for four quarters.

Interesting Fournette nugget here:

You could see Kentucky building to a big win. They picked off Missouri on Saturday. Should we read more into Florida’s win over Kentucky in Gainesville? ….

Twenty plays that impacted the college football weekend here including Robert Nkemdiche’s 1-yard touchdown run. No teammates were harmed in the scoring of the touchdown, it appears. …

A little Texas Longhorns history here:

The Rebels have a 6-3-1 ”winning record” at the Swamp. And lead the all time series at 12-10-1.

I can imagine how hard it was for the team to get up for the Vandy game….and would hope that they get back to serious business & continue their winning record at Florida.

The 2008 game was on the SEC Network last night. Hardy, Powe, Sneed, McCluster, Wallace, Hodge, etc. What a great game!

I missed the replay. I remember the game well. Hodge who caught a beautifully thrown ball from
Snead and took it to the house. And who forget the last play. I’m looking for an exciting game and an Ole Miss win.
        Fins up Rebel fans!

KB and my rebel friends, The Gators are young but they have the heart of winners, The young Gator team has all to gain and nothing to lose against this national ranked Miss Team, Miss is coming into the Swamp to take on this Gator team and aprox 75,000 gator fans that will be present,, but be assured Gators will not cave in and give up. they will fight until the end.. you may come away with the victory but not as the winner

JB…I sense your passion for the Gators.
IF the Rebels should come away with a victory I hope that you’d concede that THEY are the winner.

Looking forward to a ”battle in the swamp”.

KB my good friend, should Ole Miss beat the Gators in the swamp, Rebels are the best. and Ole Miss have a very good chance at that. This Ole Miss team is probably the best team from Oxford in many years.or ever. Good luck and enjoy the game, JB
