The Aggies are coming

The New Mexico State ones.

Here’s a quick look at the Rebels’ non-SEC foe for the week.

The Sun Belt Conference Aggies are 0-4 with losses to Florida, Georgia State, Texas-El Paso and in-state rival New Mexico.

They’ve given up at least 34 points each game. Florida scored 61, and UTEP scored 50.

The Aggies rank No. 99 in red zone defense, No. 117 in pass defense efficiency, No. 122 in rushing defense, No. 123 in total defense and No. 125 in scoring defense.

With numbers that bad it’s interesting to see they are plus-2 in turnover margin. Ole Miss is minus-6 over the last two games. The Rebels haven’t forced a turnover┬ásince Alabama kept giving them away.

Here’s ESPN’s account of the Aggies game last week. They led New Mexico 29-14 early in the third quarter but lost by a two-possession score.
