Media Monday Wrap

From the Mother Ship, our Media Monday coverage.

Ole Miss players had some interesting comments in the aftermath of a 38-10 loss at Florida. Trae Elston suggested the team was loving its media coverage too much. Not all players agreed, but Fahn Cooper said he got the feeling that players really didn’t respect Florida didn’t preparation last week. Remember, it was Florida coach Jim McElwain who trumped up the respect card last week saying he wasn’t feeling any from the Rebels toward the Gators. I often tell my kids the truth is in the middle, and that’s where it is now. What the Rebels really thought about the Gators is probably somewhere between what McElwain said a week and what Cooper said after the fact. I’ll say this: The offensive line is the last Ole Miss position that needs to take an opponent lightly.

Rebels after Florida

As soon as Tony Conner went down I started beating the drum for Mike Hilton at Huskie. This week it happens. Maybe it will help disrupt the crossing patterns with which Florida repeatedly hurt the Rebels.
