Video Blog: Freeze updates lengthy injury report

By John Davis, Oxford Citizen

Hugh Freeze walked into the team meeting room with a sheet of paper in his hands following Wednesday’s practice session. It wasn’t a shopping list, or a list of chores, it was a list of injured Ole Miss Rebels. And he needed it to make sure he got everyone covered.

The Rebels are down three linemen, and a starting linebacker, for Saturday’s game with New Mexico State. That doesn’t include running back Jaylen Walton, who will miss the homecoming contest as well.

Freeze didn’t just talk about injuries, he also talked about the players who would be filling in, like former Northwest Mississippi Community College standout Terry Caldwell, who will start at middle linebacker in place of the injured CJ Johnson.
