Spanning the globe on a Monday morning ..

It could be a difficult week for Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin. That’s the way college football works. Actually, I was surprised we didn’t see a little bit of Kyler Murray.

Auburn coach Gus Malzahn talks about inexperience and missed opportunities after his team’s four-overtime loss at Arkansas.

I saw a good bit of that Auburn-Arkansas game. The Auburn receivers had more than an ample serving of drops but did come up with a couple of good catches during the game. The Ole Miss secondary will need another great performance against a passing game that is average but will be better than what the Rebels saw against Texas A&M. …

Looks like there were a number of serious injuries over the weekend, this one with Baylor quarterback Seth Russell.

The Missouri offense is struggling to say the least. The two-time defending Eastern Division champs have scored just 12 points in their last three games coming out of a 10-3 loss at Vanderbilt.

Last year I wasn’t sure we’d see a Vanderbilt SEC win this year, but Derek Mason’s first inside the conference comes with his side of the ball, defense. …
