Media Monday Wrap

Laquon Treadwell is clearly eager to play Auburn, but it’s not like he’s thought of this game and nothing else for the last year.

He comes across as intrigued by the chance to have a strong individual performance but also by the chance to help Ole Miss win the game that escaped its grasp in the final seconds last year.

He’s also correct in that the stakes are similar — at least for Ole Miss. The Rebels have to run the table to be in contention for the SEC West and SEC overall championships. If they do that, and if they win the overall championship, then they would be in contention for a playoff berth. Whether a two-loss SEC team would get there remains to be seen.
