Rebels stay at 19 in AP, rise in coaches poll

Following a 27-19 win at Auburn Ole Miss remains No. 19 in the AP Top 25 but climbs two spots to No. 19 in the USA Today coaches poll.

Ole Miss isn’t the only team in the AP poll that doesn’t move. Spots 17-20 are all the same as last week — Florida State, Houston, Ole Miss and Toledo.

Arkansas (4-4, 2-2) visits Oxford this week.

Tomorrow we will no longer need these two polls of the past. The only poll that counts will be revealed. Should be interesting as they seem to look for the four best teams in the country.

Will we be able to see a SEC team there? probably yes (1) sorry, but i don’t think Ole Miss will be one of them,

JB, you’ve been totally wrong about Ole Miss for two straight weeks. You’re batting 0-2 my friend.

        • JB

you are correct K_B my batting avg is .0000, i could never hit the curve ball anyway. got to practice up on that pitch. I agree it is possible that ole miss could make the top four, their baseeball team always had the come from behind attitude could be for the football team. that is if they have the “right stuff’.

Well, when all the teams above you in the poll win, where CAN you go?
At least the Rebels get a bump in the Coaches Poll. What I don’t understand is WHY Miss. State even gets to ‘smell’ the Top 25. NONE of the teams they’ve beaten were either not ranked or are not currently ranked. Sure, they’ll probably beat a very bad Mizzou team this week and then lose big time to Bama and hopefully Ole Miss.
Ole Miss is the Alabama State Champs and looking forward to being the Mississippi Football Champs.
