Spanning the globe on a Thursday morning …

In the wake of the early signing day for basketball and spring sports words of wisdom here from Ole Miss career saves leader Brett Huber:

As stories and images of Missouri’s campus protests began to pile up this one was one of the more intriguing.

The only sports angle on this is the fact that the student-photographer — whose First Amendment rights were being trampled by an assistant professor associated with the communications department¬†— was representing ESPN.

It’s interesting to see down in the story how quickly the dean of the journalism school explains the professor’s status and then distances the school from her.

It’s tragic that one group works so hard to secure its right of speech while ignoring the rights of others.
