Kincade to transfer

Ole Miss quarterback DeVante Kincade announced through social media last night his intention to transfer.

Here’s what he wrote.

A Dallas native, Kincade was part of a three-player competition at quarterback through August camp. When junior college transfer Chad Kelly emerged as the Rebels’ starter playing time diminished for Kincade and Ryan Buchanan. Both are third-year sophomores.

Kincade appeared in only three games this season completing 9-of-15 passes for 79 yards and a touchdown.

A four-star recruit, Kincade was a member of the 2013 signing class. ESPN rated him as the nation’s No. 12 dual threat quarterback.

He’s an ‘athlete’ and would have been good (at another position) on either offense or defense. I hope he’s happy wherever he ends up and wish him the best.
Too bad he won’t be around when the Rebels play in the Final Four next year. :))

I hope he will graduate so he can play next year.
