Robert Nkemdiche injured in fall from Atlanta hotel

By John Davis, Oxford Citizen

Ole Miss defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche was injured falling from a hotel in Atlanta, according to police who talked with Parrish Alford.

Atlanta confirmed that Nkemdiche fell from a hotel window in the city.

At approximately 11:18 ET Saturday evening two units responded to a “person injured call,” police said.

Upon arrival police found a small amount of suspected marijuana.

The fall from the hotel room was not the only fall.

“It appears that the victim broke the window then walked approximately 15 feet and climbed over a wall and fell approximately 15 feet,” police said.

It’s not clear if the first fall was the force that broke the window.

Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze issued a statement Sunday afternoon.

“We are still learning about the matter, but obviously Robert’s well being is our greatest concern.”
