Ole Miss arrived at the Hilton Riverside this afternoon. Players are having a team meal right now with meetings set for seven.
A few minutes before six about 20 Ole Miss players were still making their way to the Hilton Riverside. About six were in the air with planes about to land.
Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze felt like everything was going OK from a travel standpoint.
Freeze said he was going to analyze everything about last year’s unsuccessful bowl experience and see what things needed to change from a preparation standpoint.
There are some advantages to being the home team, he says, in the sense that you get a little more control over your schedule.
Mike Hilton and Evan Engram also spoke, but nobody shed much light on how things might have changed in preparation.
Both Freeze and Hilton expressed a lot of confidence in freshman Breeland Speaks who will have an increased role on the defensive line since the suspension of Robert Nkemdiche was announced.
