NEW ORLEANS — There are several reasons why Ole Miss fans should watch the Under Armour All-America Game Saturday.

The contest features verbal pledge Greg Little, the nation’s No. 1 rated offensive tackle. It also includes Wayne County defensive tackle Benito Jones, who will enroll at Ole Miss later this month.

There are a number of Ole Miss targets that are playing in the game, including wide receiver Drake Davis, who played with quarterback Shea Patterson at IMG Academy this fall. Starkville wide receiver AJ Brown is in the game, as is Rashan Gary, the nation’s top-ranked defensive tackle who is considering Ole Miss along with a number of other schools from the SEC.

There are a number of other prospects that are considering the Rebels, including cornerback Shyheim Carter of Kentwood, Louisiana; Deontay Anderson of Manvel, Texas, who is the No. 2 safety in the 2016 class as well as Willie Allen, the nation’s No. 2 offensive tackle behind Little.

Allen (6-7, 300) attends John Curtis Christian School here in New Orleans. And don’t forget Germantown (MS) cornerback Nigel Knott. He is also in the game, and looking at the Rebels. He attended the elite level camp at Ole Miss this summer.

In an interview that was published today in, Brown (6-2, 218) said that Alabama was his leader. He plans to visit Alabama the Jan. 15-17. Here is the link to the story.

Gary (6-4, 287) and Little are close and the relationship could end up being the difference to land  the native of Paramus, New Jersey.

Davis (6-4, 215) is rated as the nation’s 10th wide receiver and considered by ESPN to be one of the nation’s top 300 overall players. He will make an verbal pledge during the game, and many feel like it will be to Ole Miss. Davis is also considering LSU and Alabama and has an offer from Clemson, among others.

Saturday’s game can be seen ESPN. It kicks off at 11 a.m. It will be played in the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Fla.
