Speaks speaks on Sugar Bowl performance

I hate to lose Fahn Cooper off the quote team, but Breeland Speaks has star potential. Very well-spoken. He talks here about the great feeling he has with Ole Miss putting the Peach Bowl loss to TCU behind it. He hits a few other topics too, including his own performance and the fatigue he felt as Ole Miss dominated Oklahoma State at the line, holding the Cowboys to 63 yards rushing. Most of that was by quarterback J.W. Walsh late in the game. Oklahoma State struggled to run the ball this season, but the Rebels couldn’t take run defense for granted. Making the Cowboys one-dimensional was a key part in a strong defensive effort. Here’s Speaks:

Denham Springs, La., native, Mississippian since 1989 with a stop in Meridian before arriving in Tupelo. Daily Journal beat writer since 1996, covering Ole Miss since 2002. Proud Northeast Louisiana alum. Follow me on Twitter @parrishalford and listen to John Davis and myself daily with The Ole Miss Beat on Rebel Sports Radio.
