Moving into the Pavilion

It’s a bold new world for Ole Miss basketball Thursday night with the opening of the Pavilion.

Andy Kennedy is pumped.

“Honestly, walking in this building yesterday, I feel like it’s my first game. That’s the truth. That’s how I feel,” he said.

Here are some highlights from his press conference earlier today. Most of the discussion had to do with the arena’s impact on recruiting.

More Kennedy:

“It gives us an opportunity now to say, OK, what’s the excuse now. We’ve got everything that you need to be successful. It puts us in the game.”

“We’ll have more recruits in Thursday and Saturday than we have had at a single game since I’ve been here. That is not by accident.”

“This is a complete game-changer.”
