Robinson eager to get going with his junior season

I saw Errol Robinson hug a senior citizen who was going through the autograph line when Ole Miss baseball players sat behind tables prior to a basketball game recently. The scene reminded me how much Robinson enjoys college baseball. “There’s nothing better than this,” he told me earlier this week.

Robinson has twice been named preseason first-team All-American, and Baseball America rates him as the No. 1 shortstop in the SEC.

After a big summer in the Cape Cod League Robinson hopes to be more of a base-stealing threat in 2016. He’s excited to get his junior season under way. So is his coach, Mike Bianco.
