South Carolina completes the sweep

South Carolina wins 4-0.

Ole Miss was swept for the first time since 2014 and for the first time at home since 2013.

The bright spot for the Rebels was Wyatt Short, the closer, who gave up only one hit and an unearned run in a career-long 5 2-3 innings.

Could Short become a starter? Ole Miss coach Mike Bianco didn’t rule it out but didn’t embrace it either.

That was embarrassing. All three phases of the game collapsed: pitching/hitting/defense.

Very disappointed in the outcome. But it fits the M.O. Start out like gangbusters (at the beginning of the season) and then lose focus and slide into mediocre performances.

So much for that #9 spot.

K-B, Wyatt Short should be given some credit for his outstanding job in relief in yesterdays game. 5.2 innings 1 run and it was unearned against what could be the #1 college baseball team in America. Rebels ain’t dead yet I think they still have some fight left. happy Easter to all out there The Lord is risen praise The Lord Jesus Christ
