Rebels Rise

After a 2-2 week last week and a series win over LSU, Ole Miss (33-12, 12-9 SEC) moves up one spot to No. 12 in this week’s release of the D1Baseball.com Top 25. The Rebels are No. 7 in the RPI.

Here are the rankings.

not only did the Rebels rise in the Ranking, but could it be with good baseball players as:

Player of the Week: J.B. Woodman, Ole Miss

**Ole Miss’ J.B. Woodman recorded two hits in each of the Rebels’
four games this week. He went 6-for-12 with three home runs, two doubles
and eight RBI in the weekend series versus No. 8 LSU, helping Ole Miss
    conquer the rivalry series.

**From center field, Woodman threw three runners out at the plate
over the weekend, and he now has a team-high nine outfield assists this
season. He prevented another run from scoring by making a diving catch
to end the inning, leaving LSU runners on base.
**Woodman hit two home runs to dead center field, tallying a
career-high four RBI to lead the Rebels to a rubber match victory. He
leads Ole Miss in multi-hit games (18), hits (54), home runs (8) and RBI
    (38)

JB…good to see you posting positive things about the DiamondBears. I hope they can sustain this run of good at bats and pitching. Fielding needs more work . The errors committed in the last few games is unacceptable.
Keep up the “goog reporting JB”.

K_B they are to me still Diamond REBELS not bears, but yes some “positive waves” forRebels and they have a golden opportunity for a real successful season, the SEC West championship is within their reach – all they have to do is win the remaining nine SEC games – Coach Bianci is a very good baseball coach and he knows how to win. So I believe – Pa if you are reading the Mail happy Birthday.

A win today for the Rebels over Georgia would be a sweep and definitely a further rise in this weeks polls. it could even give the Rebs a No. 8 national seed in this seasons CWS.- that would be great for ole Miss fans and us field hands _:)
