The Lady Indians trailed 3-1 heading into the fourth inning, but Brittany Sullivan singled up the middle to score Mariah Stevens and Lilli Moore, both of whom singled earlier, then Alexis Freeman singled to right to plate Kelsey Spradling and Sullivan before McKenzie Coleman’s fielder’s choice scored Neely Grubbs.
IAHS took a 6-3 lead into the fifth inning, but Tupelo got a couple of runs back on a walk and a pair of singles to cut the lead to 6-5.
The Lady Indians got those runs back again in the sixth inning when Spradling and Sullivan tallied back-to-back base hits and scored on a Briana Moore single to left to take an 8-5 lead.
Tupelo plated one run in the bottom of the sixth to cut the lead back to 8-6, but Grubbs got a ground out and a pair of flyouts to Spradling in right field, while leaving two runners stranded to secure the win.
Sullivan finished the game 3-for-4 with three singles and three runs scored, while Spradling went 1-for-2 with a walk and scored twice.
