Clifford to bring

his books to life

Clifford the Big Red Dog will bring his friends to the BancorpSouth Arena for a show at 7 p.m. April 3.

Tickets are $12, $15 and $20 plus service charge, and they’ll go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday. They’ll be available at the box office, Arena ticket outlets, www.bcsarena.com and (662) 841-6528.

Another pair of shows on April 4 are being marketed directly to schools and day cares.

Arts institute seeks

students for musical

Officials with the Janice Wyatt Mississippi Summer Arts Institute are on the hunt for kids between the ages of 12 to 18.

Auditions for the musical, “Once On This Island,” will be held at 4 p.m. March 5 at Tupelo Community Theatre.

Performers must prepare a one and a half minute vocal piece and a one-minute theatrical monologue. An accompanist will be provided, so bring sheet music or provide a CD or cassette. Dance auditions will follow, and no prepared pieces are required for those.

The Summer Arts Institute will be held at the Bolgna Performing Arts Center in Cleveland. Call (662) 846-4844 for information.

Feldman’s radio show

comes to Ole Miss

Public radio’s Michael Feldman will bring his “Whad’Ya Know?” radio show to the University of Mississippi’s Ford Center for the Performing Arts on March 24.

The audience-participation show airs on Mississippi Public Radio at 10 a.m. on Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets to the Ole Miss recording range from $25 to $50, and they’re available at www.ticketreturn.com or by calling (662) 915-7411.
