DANCE LIKE THE STARS
A group of local stars will put on their dancing shoes to benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of North Mississippi. The dancers are Lancaster, of Houston; Amanda Hayden, Emily Leonard, Judy Hill, Barbara Clements, K.C. Grist, George Stone, Ashley Buse, Anne Haire and Peggi Phillips from Tupelo; Matt Koon of New Albany and Laquita Wilkerson of Ripley. Last chance to see painters’ exhibit
The Mississippi Painters’ Society exhibit at the Oren Dunn Museum in Tupelo closes Saturday.
The museum is open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. today and Friday, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday.
Admission is $3/adults, $2/seniors, $1.50/3-12 and free/3 and under.

Photo contest open for Alcorn County Fair
The Crossroads Museum in Corinth is joining with the Alcorn County Fair for the museum’s 12th annual Photo Contest.
Photographers can submit three photos for $10, and $5 per entry thereafter. There are seven categories and it’s open to all ages.
Entries will be accepted until Sept. 16, and they’ll be displayed at the fair Sept. 17-21 and at the museum from Sept. 25-Nov. 16.
