Beach Boys to perform at BancorpSouth Arena

TUPELO – The BancorpSouth Arena’s 20th anniversary concert season continues on July 11 with a performance by the legendary band, The Beach Boys.

The band has scored hit singles in every decade since the 1960s. Hits include, “Surfin’ Safari,” “I Get Around,” “Help Me, Rhonda,” “Good Vibrations,” “California Girls,” “Kokomo,” and “That’s Why God Made the Radio,” the title track of the band’s 29th album, released in 2012. The band celebrated its 50th anniversary that year.

The Beach Boys’ current lineup includes original members like Mike Love, Bruce Johnston and Al Jardine.

The Beach Boys’ masterpiece, “Pet Sounds,” is ranked No. 2 on Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list and was preserved by the Library of Congress for being “culturally, historically and aesthetically significant.”

The Beach Boys have sold more than 100 million records worldwide.

The arena’s 20th anniversary concert season has included concerts by other legendary acts like Elton John and John Fogerty, as well as sold-out shows like Florida-Georgia Line and Winter Jam.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. May 2 and are $67, $47 and $20, a special ticket price to celebrate the arena’s anniversary.
