Rasta Thomas’ Stars of Dance featuring the Bad Boys of Dance are coming to Tupelo.
The dance company will perform 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Tupelo High School Performing Arts Center.
The Bad Boys of Dance have performed on shows like “So You Think You Can Dance.”
The performance is a celebration of Tupelo Ballet’s 30th anniversary.
The Bad Boys will host a day of master classes at the Tupelo Academy of Dance Arts on Saturday.

Fairy tales come alive at ‘Disney Live!’

The stories of Cinderella, Snow White and Beauty and the Beast will be told at “Disney Live! Three Classic Fairy Tales” on Saturday at the BancorpSouth Arena.
Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald all join the three princesses for the shows.
Tickets are $47, $38, $27, $20 and $14 plus fees. Show times are at 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Three CD release parties this weekend

Three North Mississippi artists are releasing new albums this weekend.
Jake Wood is releasing “Live Life” at 5 p.m. tonight at the Wesley House in Fulton. The CD is $5. Other bands performing include Eyes for an Era, Stay Strong Cannonball, The Violent, Seraphim and Truly Truly.
Sky Shelton is releasing “New Sound Old Soul” at 8:30 p.m. tonight at The Lyric Oxford. Also performing is The Drew Chapman Band and John Milstead. Tickets are $25, and the album is $10.
The Gondoliers is releasing its debut EP, “On and On,” on Saturday at Dave’s Dark Horse Tavern in Starkville. Joe Whaley will also perform. It’s $5, and all proceeds go to the Del Rendon Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit to play Larry’s

Following a performance at Down on Main in Tupelo this summer, Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit now has a tour stop in Oxford.
The band will perform at 10 p.m. Saturday at Proud Larry’s in Oxford. It’s an 18 and up show.
