Participants, attendees needed
for talent, fashion show
Every event needs folks to participate in it, and folks to attend it, and this event needs both.
The Shannon Elementary PTO is hosting a fashion and talent show on Oct. 29, and they’re looking for children in any grade from any school to participate. There’s a $10 entry fee, and you can enter either the fashion or talent show, or both.
Tickets to the show are $5/adults in advance, $6/adults day of show, $1/children 6 and up and free for children under 6.
The show will be at 6 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Shannon Elementary Auditorium.

Halloween egg hunt and more
set for Saturday at park
The baseball field at the Sportsplex will be aglow with glow-in-the-dark eggs at the Tupelo Park & Rec’s first-ever Halloween egg hunt this weekend.
Costumed kiddos ages 10 and under can search for eggs throughout the park, enter the costume parade and go on hayrides on Saturday.
Costume parade registration begins at 6 p.m., with the parade following at 6:15 p.m. The egg hunt starts at 7 p.m.

Coffin and crew to perform
at community college
Jeff Coffin, best known as the saxophonist for the Dave Matthews Band and Bela Fleck & the Flecktones, will perform at Northeast Mississippi Community College next week.
Jeff Coffin & the Mu’tet will perform at 7 p.m. Oct. 27 at the Seth Pounds Auditorium. A master class for high school and college students will be earlier that day at 3:30 p.m.

The city of Sherman is throwing a street festival this weekend.
